Step by step

Go to britbox.com and sign in with your account

Click your account name in the top right → Account Settings

Find your Subscription section and click Cancel Subscription

Confirm the cancellation — access continues until the end of your current billing period

On iPhone / iPad

Open the BritBox app and tap Menu (☰)

Tap Account Settings

Tap Manage Subscription

Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Before you cancel

💡BritBox is included in ITVX Premium (£5.99/month) — if you're only subscribed through ITVX Premium, cancelling that will also remove BritBox. Free ITVX ad-supported continues to work.

💡If you subscribed via Amazon Prime Video Channels, you must cancel through Amazon, not on BritBox's website. Search for BritBox in your Prime Video Channels and cancel there.

💡BritBox UK is separate from BritBox US — both have different shows and subscription pricing. Make sure you're on britbox.com/gb (not .com) and the correct account.

💡Your watchlist and viewing history are kept for at least 30 days after cancellation — they will be restored if you resubscribe within that window.

What happens to your account

After cancellation

Your BritBox account remains active until the last day of your current billing period. After that date you lose access to all content and downloads are removed. Your watchlists and viewing history are saved for at least 30 days.

When billing stops

BritBox stops billing you when you confirm cancellation. You will not be charged again. There is no pro-rata refund for any unused days in the current billing period.

How to reactivate

To reactivate, sign back into britbox.com with your original email and password and choose a subscription plan. If you resubscribe within 30 days of cancellation, your watchlist and continue-watching data will be fully restored.
